Connect the HDD LED: The HDD LED can be connected to pins 13 and 14 of the front header (LEDH1).Make sure that each wire is securely connected and that there are no loose wires that could cause a short circuit. The thing is that is more confusing when i use the buttons of the contour in Reaper normally they work as expected. If i press "Shift+Left" using my keyboard on the Actions screen it takes me to the shortcut that's set up (nudge/move left - default one) I disconnected my Alphatrack and in Reaper pressed "Shift+?" This brings up the Actions list.Īnd then when i press the button 1 on the SP2 which is set up Shift+Left Click in the Contour App for Reaper I get the error "You must enter a shortcut!" which if i okay then shows behind it the "Find Key or Midi Controller" dialogue box showing just "Shift+" (no left or left key) I did some more basic fault-finding and found that Reaper in the action list doesn't recognise the shortcut key press even though it works practically. I've had another look today and the Contour SP2 obviously works fine but still causes the Alphatrack to reboot when any shortcut with Shift or Control is pressed

Just let us know if you have any additional questions. Sorry, I wish we had a better answer for you, but I don't think there's any way we'd be able to troubleshoot your specific setup due to the age and lack of support for the Alphatrack.

If you're dependent on the Alphatrack, then unfortunately the Shuttle may not be a good fit for your workflow. The company also shut down their user forums, so there's no way to check if anyone else has experienced a similar issue.

Unfortunately since we can't even get their drivers installed here, there's really no way that we can troubleshoot the problem. But from what I can tell the Alphatrack product has been discontinued for a number of years, and the manufacturer is no longer supporting the product. Really all the Shuttle is doing is sending keyboard commands to your computer, so it's possible that there may be some overlap with how the Alphatrack functions.

We did try installing the driver in compatibility mode to see how it functions, but even in compatibility mode the driver won't install on our current Windows machine. I took a look into Alphatrack and it looks like the company that produced it is no longer supporting it and are focusing on phone applications, according to their website here:Īdditionally there's no real information in the manual that describes how the Alphatrack interfaces with programs, and the most current version of Windows listed as compatible with the driver is Windows XP, which stopped being supported by Microsoft about six years ago. Really all the Shuttle is doing is sending basic keyboard and mouse click macros to the currently active program. Essentially, the Shuttle works by looking at the clicked on and active program on your computer, scans its repository of settings, and if any settings are "bound" to the currently running program, it applies them to the physical Shuttle. Thanks for reaching out to us, I apologize for the delay in response as we have been investigating this issue for you. I raised this issue with Contour but they were as helpful as they could be: reply here Summary: Using the Contour Shuttle Pro V2 - Any shortcut with Shift or Control causes the Alphatrack to Reboot
